What Car: 1970 Ford Cortina 1600E

By 1967 the Ford Cortina had become Britains most popular car that was further compounded by the introduction of this highly spec’d 4 door 1600E version that was first introduced at the Paris motor show in October 1967. It combined the lower suspension of the cortina lotus with the high tune GT1600 kent engine and come with luxury trim featuring a burr walnut-lined dashboard, bucket seats, aluminum sports steering wheel, foglights, Rostyle wheels, and Radial tyres. It instantly became the first non-lotus Cortina to be recognised as a classic. This particular example we restored around 3 years ago and is still looking as fresh today.
