A ONE OF A KIND PORSCHE BACKDATE

What Car: 1979 Porsche 911 SC Backdate

When it comes to buying a half-finished project it is always a bit of a gamble, especially when it has gone as far as this already primered Porsche ST backdate project. It was sold to the new owner Paul as “like new” and “ready for paint” with ST wide arches attached and 450 man-hours already spent on it. However, when it arrived at the shop things didn’t look good, in fact, it was nowhere near being ready for paint as the pictures in our blog illustrate. Back to the drawing board, we went and after a good chat with Paul, we set out to create this very special one off GBG backdate.

1000s of man-hours and 20k photos later we are really proud of how this custom Porsche turned out. Much like the Porche oil Klapper project this was also a nut and bolt restoration and really does drive like a new car. Big up to all the guys at the shop who knocked it out of the park once again. Now we all get to stand back and take it in, this is definitely one of those builds we can all be proud of. Big thanks also to the owner Paul who gave us free reight to design and build this beautiful one-off Porsche – he loves it, by the way, enjoy it Paul.

Keep an eye out for the finished video shoot, it’s going to be a cracker.

IT TAKES A LOT OF WORK TO LOOK THIS GOOD

With too much to describe in this small space why not head to our blog where we documented the whole build.
