Looking good in it’s new skin

What Car: 2004 Mercedes SL 65

The SL 65 AMG Mercedes Roadster must have been the Top Trump in a game of roadster Top Trumps back in 2004 as the performance figures are bonkers. In 2004 the SL 65 was the worlds most powerful (603 bhp) and highest torque (1000 nm) series -produced roaster, with all this power coming from a 6 litre twin turbo V12, crazy right! After many exciting miles this particular 2004 SL 65 had started to look a bit tired and so the owner Dom booked it in to the bodyshop for a coating of our new colour change GBG skin, a peal-able paint protection spray.

A PAINT THAT CAN BE PEALED LIKE VINYL WRAP

To give this SL 65 as much show as it has go Dom opted to go for this better than factory finish chameleon pearl flip, that changes colour from purple to red, blue and green depending on the angle you are looking at it. Also because it is our special GBG skin (paint protection spray) if Dom gets bored or wants to revert back to the original paint for any reason it can easily be pealed off revealing the original paint.

PROTECTS IN EVERY NOOK

Our GBG Skin is as easy to apply as spray paint so Al and Kyle went through virtually the same process as a standard respray. They started by stripping the car and as our Skin goes on like paint we are able to apply it in all the nooks and crannies. It was then flat and polished like paint giving the SL 65 a showroom finish.
