What Car: 2018 NISSAN NIVARA
With it’s ability to work hard during the week, be a comfortable family vehicle at weekends and takes advantage of the very generous tax breaks for company vehicles, the Nissan Nivara is a tradesman’s best mate. They are also vehicles we love to work on and look great when customised. A thought the owner of this 2018 Nivara shared, booking in at the shop to have some custom work done, having seen the two jacked up Ford Rangers we had customised and wanted a piece of that action.

HIGH ,WIDE AND HANDSOME
The plan was to give the Nivara more presence on and off the road. We achieve this by jacking the truck up 2 inches with a Trak Ryder suspension lift kit and widening the arches using a Kut Snake flare kit, see the before and after shots below

2 INCH JACK UP
Olly and Micky sprung into life and out went the old springs and shocks and in went a new Trak Ryder suspension lift kit that included springs and shocks, increasing the ride height all round by 2 inches, as my wife says those 2 inches make all the difference!
GO WIDE OR GO HOME
We then fitted a Kut Snake flare kit all round, specifically designed for the Nivara. These kits are made from injection moulded ABS plastic and are secured to the body panels with stainless steel allen key head and self-threading screws. Once bolted on it gave us that wide look we are after.
ALL LINED UP
With the suspension fitted, the wheels back on and the truck back on the deck, all suspension arms were tightened up and the Nivara was then given the 4 wheel alignment treatment making sure everything lined up as it should. The high and wide Nivara was now ready for the road.
